How to Edit Talking-Head Videos
Keep viewers glued to your educational content.
The Talking Head Playbook
If it's just you and a camera, you have to work harder to keep attention.
1. The B-Roll Interruption
Never stay on your face for more than 5 seconds. Cut to stock footage, screenshots, or screen recordings that illustrate what you're saying.
2. Emphasize with Emojis
When auto-captioning, ensure emojis pop up on keyword triggers. It adds color and visual anchors to your sentences.
3. The Loop
Write your script so the last sentence connects perfectly to the first sentence. When the video restarts, viewers won't realize it's looped until they've watched it twice.
